2. Lanzhou

Second perfect city to take the train to Tibet is Lanzhou. Duration is not too long and also not too short. Sometimes Travelers cant get the train ticket from Xining to Lhasa because of the busy season, another option is to take the train from Lanzhou since these 2 cities are very close.

3. Xian 

We have few Travelers who loved the train ride from Xian to Lhasa since duration is not too long as compared to Beijing or Shanghai. Travelers can also visit the interesting sightseeing in Xian and later travel to Tibet via train.
