This journey starts by exploring the holy city of Lhasa. You will see the main Buddhist sites in the town including Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and the Potala Palace.
You will also be able to explore the Old Town of Lhasa and rub shoulders with some of the thousands of pilgrims who are here each day. Altogether, you will spend three nights in Lhasa. Next, you will make the scenic drive to Shigatse going via Yamdrok Lake, Karo La Glacier, and the Gyantse Kumbum Stupa.
From Shigatse, you will visit Sakya monastery on the way to the North Face Base Camp of Mt. Everest where if the weather is clear, Travelers can witness the beauties of sunset, sunrise, and stars in the night at the world’s highest peak!
From Everest, you will return to Lhasa via Shigatse. On the morning of the 10th day, you will travel to the Lhasa airport or train station to where the tour concludes.

Day1. Pick Up From Airport Or Train Station And Transfer To Hotel
Upon your arrival at Lhasa airport or train station, you will be greeted by your Tibetan guide, from the airport to Lhasa city is 60km, about an hour drive, will take you to the holy city Lhasa. Driving along the Brahmaputra river and Lhasa River. If you take the train to Lhasa, normally you will arrive in the late afternoon or evening, 20 minutes drive will take you to your hotel in Lhasa city. Check into the hotel, have a good rest to acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day2. Lhasa City Sightseeing, Visit Jokhang Temple and Sera Monastery
After breakfast, you will visit the Jokhang, the holiest Buddhist temple in all of the Himalayas. Each day, many thousands of Buddhist pilgrims come here to worship. Many have traveled well over a thousand kilometers by foot to see this 1400-year-old temple. After lunch, you will visit the 600-year-old huge monastery complex of Sera. While at Sera, you watch the monks engage in entertaining Buddhist philosophical debates. In the evening, you will have free time to wander around the Old Town on your own.

Day3. Lhasa City Sightseeing, Visit Scenic viewpoint of Lhasa, Potala Palace
Today you will work your way up the steps of the Potala Palace and then go through the most important rooms in this famous UNESCO site. After lunch, you will drive to the front and back of Lhasa to see the view scenic point of Lhasa city.

Day4. Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake [4,441m] / Gyantse [3,980m] 270KM, 6hrs
Morning drive up to Kampala pass [4794m], you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso and spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance, the turquoise-colored Lake Yamdrok Yutso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, the unforgettable vista of the pincer-shaped turquoise water of the lake and amazing spectacle of Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar glacier from Karo la pass is wonders of the day.
We will drive from the old route of Yamdrok Lake to the Gyantse town where very few Travelers will travel. This will give a chance to see the stunning hidden beauties of Yamdrok Lake. Travelers will spend a night at Gyantse.

Day5. Gyantse / Shigatse [3,900m], 90KM, 1hrs
After breakfast, Travelers will visit the seven stories stupa of Gyantse town known as Kumbum stupa, one of the most stunning architectural wonders in Tibet.
Travelers will also visit the stunning Gyantse old fort Dzong ( The view scenic spot point of Gyantse) to see the stunning view of Gyantse town.
In the after, drive to Shigatse with a duration of one hour 20 minutes. Visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the Shigatse fort Dzong ( The view scenic spot point of Shigatse ) in Shigatse after Lunch.

Day6. Shigatse / Sakya / Pelber [4,400m], 280Km, 6hours Drive
Today Travelers will travel to Sakya monastery via the Tso La pass (4800M). Sakya is one of the authentic Tibetan monasteries rich in spiritualism. Sakya was once the home of great masters. The 84thousands old valuable teachings on Buddha in Sakya is a worth visit.
From Sakya, travel to Pelber via the Gyatso La (5200M) if the weather is good, Travelers can see the first stunning view of Mount Everest summit.

Day7. Pelber / Geu la pass [5,200M] Rongbuk monastery / Mount Everest last viewpoint [,5150M] 90km,4hrs
This day will take you from Pelber to Tibet’s North Face Everest Base Camp. Along the way, you will be passing through several small Tibetan farming villages that you will be able to photograph. You will cross over the 5200M Geu La Pass, which offers a panoramic view of the glacier-covered Himalaya.
From here, you can see 4 of the world’s 15 highest peaks, including Everest. From the Geu La, you will then go to Rongphu, the highest monastery in the world at just under 5000 meters in elevation. The iconic view of Everest from here will be a high point of your journey!
The new rule to protect the environment of Everest national park, Travelers can only reach the Rongbuk monastery, which is 4km before the previous camp.
Overnight at Everest branch hotel at Rongbuk monastery. The last viewpoint of Mount Everest. No private bathroom and no shower for only this night.

Day8. Rongbuk / Shegar / Shigatse [3,840m], 340KM, 6-7hour Drive
After breakfast, see the sunrise at Everest Base Camp then drive to Lhasa through the same route from Geu la pass with the last view of the Himalaya range, stop at any point if you find interest. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day9. Shigatse / Yungdrungling Bon monastery/ Lhasa [3,700m], 300Km, Around 6hrs Drive
From Shigatse, Travelers will travel back to Lhasa through the northern friendship highway via enjoying the nature of the Yarlung Tsangpo river and a short visit to the biggest Bon monastery in Tibet Yungdrungling. Bon is the first religion in Tibet. It was flourished before Buddhism.
After arriving at Lhasa, visit the Local market and Bhakor street once again.
