Our 4-day group tour from Lhasa sightseeing tour is perfect for those who have a smaller budget, yet still, want a high-quality tour of Tibet. Despite being priced for budget travelers, 3 of your three nights in Tibet are in the 3-star hotel. 

We use expert English-speaking Tibetan guides who are there to help you learn more about the uniqueness of Tibetan culture and religion.

This journey will start by exploring the holy city. You will see the main Buddhist sites in the town including Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, and the Potala Palace. You will also be able to explore the Old Town of Lhasa and rub shoulders with some of the thousands of pilgrims who are here each day.

Altogether, you will spend three nights in Lhasa. Next, you will be transferred to the Lhasa airport or train station. This will be a fantastic journey that will allow you to see the main sights inside Lhasa.

Day1. Arrive In Lhasa


You will be met at the Lhasa airport or train station by your Tibetan guide and transferred to the hotel, an elevation of 3600 meters. You can then explore the nearby Old Town of Lhasa and the markets lining Barkhor Square.

Day2. Lhasa


After breakfast, you will visit the Jokhang, the holiest Buddhist temple in all of the Himalayas. Each day, many thousands of Buddhist pilgrims come here to worship. Many have traveled well over a thousand kilometers by foot to see this 1400-year-old temple. After lunch, you will visit the 600-year-old huge monastery complex of Sera. While at Sera, you watch the monks engage in entertaining Buddhist philosophical debates. In the evening, you will have free time to wander around the Old Town on your own.

Day3. Lhasa


Today you will start your day by visiting the massive 1000-room Potala Palace, the most iconic building in Tibet. You will work your way up the steps of the Potala and then go through the most important rooms on this famous UNESCO site. After lunch, you will explore another one of Tibet’s important monasteries. Ramoche Temple is famous across Tibet for the 8-year-old statue of Buddha Shakyamuni and is a great place to observe Local Tibetans. In the late afternoon and evening, you will have free time to explore Lhasa on your own or do some souvenir shopping.

Day4. Depart Lhasa


We recommend buying the late afternoon flights so you will have some free morning time at Lhasa for the market or walk around Bhakor Street.

Travel to the airport or train station 2 hours before your departure schedule.  End of the tour and have a safe trip home.
