Upon reaching Shigatse, we will make a stop at the exquisite Gawula Pass (5200 meters) before continuing towards the Roof of the World.

Finally, we'll reach the Mount Everest North Face Base Camp, also known as the roof of the world. Day1. Lhasa Arrival [3700m]

Upon reaching Lhasa, your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel. To adapt to the high altitude, ensure to stay hydrated and rest adequately to reduce the risk of altitude sickness.

Day2. Lhasa Sightseeing [3700m]

Our journey commenced with a visit to Jokhang Temple, the holiest sanctuary in Tibet, established in the 7th century by Songtsen Gampo, the pioneering Buddhist monarch. Today's itinerary includes an exploration of the magnificent Potala Palace, erected as the Winter Palace by the fifth Dalai Lama in the 17th century. This architectural marvel offers breathtaking panoramas of the city and encompasses the Dalai Lama's chambers, opulent halls, and sacred shrines. Later in the day, we will proceed to Sera Monastery, one of the distinguished institutions of the Gelugpa Sect, to witness the stimulating monks' debate session.

Day3. Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake / Gyantse / Shigatse

The adventure starts: we drive West to reach the second-largest city in Tibet. At first, we cross Kampa-la Pass [4797m] and then Karo-la Pass [5050m], where Mt. Noijin Kangsang [7206m] glacier lies near the road. In the middle, we enjoy the unreal turquoise waters of the holy lake Yamdrok-Tso.

Then we stop in Gyantse town, where we visit the considered best Tibetan art paintings in Kumbum Stupa inside Pelkor Chode Monastery. Also, we admire the majestic Gyantse Dzong (fortress) overlooking the valley. Finally, we reached Shigatse before dinner. (350km) [3700m]

Day4. Shigatse- New Tingri – Everest Base Camp

It's an exciting day today. The journey to New Tingri involves crossing the high pass of Gyatso La [5220m] and the opportunity to view Mt. Everest and the Himalayas for the first time. We continue driving through the Gawula Pass [5200m]  to see the view of 5 mountains above 8000 meters, including Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho Oyu, Mount Lhotse, and Mount Shishapangma.

After visiting Gawu La, you will proceed to Tashizom town. Here, you will switch to an eco-friendly bus to travel to Rongphu, the world's highest monastery, situated just under 5000 meters above sea level. Witnessing the breathtaking view of Mount Everest from this vantage point will be a standout moment of your expedition. Your journey will then lead you to the Tent Hotels, operational from mid-April to mid-October. The distance from Pelber to the Everest region spans 100 kilometers and typically covers a travel time of approximately 4 hours. [Total distance: 460 km, elevation: 4400m]

Day5. Everest Base Camp / Shigatse

After breakfast, see the sunrise at Everest Base Camp, then drive to Lhasa through the same route from Gawu la Pass with the last view of the Himalayan range; stop at any point if you find interest. Overnight at Shigatse. [3,840m], 340KM, 6-7hour.

Day6. Shigatse / Lhasa (280km, 3700m)

After breakfast, you will explore Shigatse and then follow the beautiful Yarlung River back to Lhasa. The distance from Shigatse to Lhasa is 270 kilometers, and the driving time is around 6 hours.

Day7. Lhasa Airport or Train Station Dropping Off (B)
