Following that, we will embark on a picturesque journey to Shigatse, traversing through the awe-inspiring Yamdrok Lake, the remarkable Karo La Glacier, and the remarkable Gyantse Kumbum Stupa. Upon reaching Shigatse, we will make a stop at the exquisite Gawula Pass (5200 meters) before continuing towards the Roof of the World.

Finally, we'll reach the Mount Everest North Face Base Camp, also known as the roof of the world. Day1. Pick up and transfer to the hotel (3700m)

Upon your arrival at Lhasa airport or train station, you will be greeted by your Tibetan guide; from the airport to Lhasa city is 60km, and a one-hour drive will take you to the holy city of Lhasa. You are driving along the Brahmaputra River and Lhasa River. If you accept the train to Lhasa, you usually will arrive late afternoon or evening; a 20-minute drive will take you to your hotel in Lhasa City. Check into the hotel and rest well to acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day2. Lhasa City Sightseeing (3700m)

After breakfast, you will visit the Jokhang, the holiest Buddhist temple in the Himalayas. Each day, many thousands of Buddhist pilgrims come here to worship. Many have traveled well over a thousand kilometers by foot to see this 1400-year-old temple. After lunch, you will visit the 600-year-old massive monastery complex of Sera. While at Sera, you watch the monks engage in entertaining Buddhist philosophical debates. In the evening, you will have free time to wander around the Old Town alone.

Day3. Lhasa City Sightseeing (3700m)

Today, we visited the beautiful Potala and Norbulingka Palaces. Potala Palace is the Winter Palace, built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama. It provides fantastic views of the entire city and houses the Dalai Lama's private quarters, numerous grand staterooms, and chapels. Norbulingka Palace is the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama.

Day4. Lhasa / Gyantse / Shigatse

Morning drive up to Kampala pass [4794m], you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso and spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance; the turquoise-colored Lake Yamdrok Yutso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, the unforgettable vista of the pincer-shaped turquoise water of the lake and fantastic spectacle of Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar glacier from Karo la pass is wonders of the day. 

Then, along the Friendship Southern Hwy drive to Gyantse, visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumbum, one of Tibet's most stunning architectural wonders. Late afternoon travel to Shigatse with a driving duration of 1 hour 10 minutes through the beautiful farming culture in Tibet. [3,840m], 360KM, 7hrs

Day5. Shigatse / Sakya / Pelber

In the morning, visit Tashilunpo Monastery after driving to Sakya town and visit Sakya monastery on the way, then go to Pelber across Tsou-la Pass (4500m) and Gyatso-la Pass (5220m); with good weather, you can see your first views of Mount Everest. At the end of the day’s 230km journey, we arrive in the evening at Pelber (New Tingri) [4,300m], 290KM, 7hrs (B)

Day6. Pelber / Gawu La / Everest Base Camp

This day will take you from Pelber to Tibet’s North Face Everest Base Camp. Along the way, you will pass through several small Tibetan farming villages that you can photograph. You5200M Gawu La Pass, which offers a panoramic view of the glacier-covered Himalayas. You can see five crosses of the world’s 15 highest peaks, including Everest.  [5,200m], 100KM, 4hrs.

Gawula Pass

From Gawu La, you will then go to Tashizom town, where you will change your vehicle to a nonpollution bus and reach Rongphu, the highest monastery in the world at just under 5000 meters in elevation. The iconic view of Everest from here will be a high point of your journey! 

You will then continue to the Tent Hotels, which operate from mid-April through mid-October. The driving distance from Pelber to the Everest area is 100 kilometers, with a driving time of around 4 hours.

Day7. Rongbuk / Shegar / Shigatse

After breakfast, see the sunrise at Everest Base Camp, then drive to Lhasa through the same route from Gawu la Pass with the last view of the Himalayan range; stop at any point if you find interest. Overnight at Shigatse. [3,840m], 340 km, 6-7 hours.

Day8. Shigatse / Lhasa 

After breakfast, you will explore Shigatse and then follow the beautiful Yarlung River back to Lhasa. The distance from Shigatse to Lhasa is 270 kilometers, and the driving time is around 6 hours.

Day9. Lhasa / Airport / Train Station

Today is the last day of the journey, and the time has come to say farewell to your guide and driver. After breakfast and some time in Lhasa, we will travel to Lhasa airport or train station.
