Few highlights Lakes in Tibet
Since Tibet is the roof of the world, many of the beautiful and highest mountains in our world are located in Tibet so that is one of the reasons many of the Rivers and Lakes in our world are from Tibet.
Today's article, Tibet Travelers would like to share a few of the important lakes in Tibet. All the lakes in Tibet are considered as Goddess and Holy so that is one of the reasons Tibetans do best to preserve the Lake.
1. Namtso Lake
One of the most desired lakes in Tibet is Namtso Lake. It is also one of the most popular lakes in Tibet. Located 240km from Lhasa towards North, with the driving of around 4-5 hours and elevation of 4700M

2. Yamdrok Lake

Around 30km from the nearest town to Mount Kailash known as Darchin town. Lake Manasarovar is surrounded by monasteries in each direction from east to west. 4. Phikutso Lake
This is the Lake where 11th Century Great Tibetan Yogi Jetsun Milarepa used to meditate nearby. Lake is located around 240km from Old Tingri and around 3-4 hours drive from Kyirong Nepal Border. Near the Lake, it is still very peaceful since there is no house or village nearby. It is one of the best places to do meditation if the weather is good. 5. Siji Lhatso Lake

6. Draksum Lake
One of the most beautiful Lakes in the Eastern Tibet Nyingchi Region is the Draksum Lake. Surrounded by Mountains and Green Forest. Located 400Km from Lhasa and around 100Km from the Bayi Nyingchi Region. There is a beautiful Island at Lake where we can visit a cozy small monastery. 7. Rawok Lake
Around 3-4 Hours drive from the Pomi Town, there is a stunning Lake surrounded by mountains known as Rawok Lake. Rawok Lake is another beautiful Lake located in the Nyingchi region. Travelers can travel as a 4 days trip to Rawok Lake.
8. Lhamo Lhatso Lake
One of my favorite lakes in Tibet is the Holy Lhamo Lhatso Lake. I call it Holy since this is the Lake where many people have seen some preview of their future.
