How to Get a China Visa: A Step-by-Step Guide.

1. China simplifies visa applications!
On 11 January 2024, the National Immigration Administration (NIA) implemented five measures to facilitate entry for foreign nationals coming to China for business, study, and tourism. Details on five measures.
1. China simplifies visas for US Nationals.
China is making visa applications more accessible for US tourists as of January 1, 2024. The Chinese Embassy has announced that US tourist visa applicants will no longer be required to provide air ticket bookings, hotel reservations, or invitation letters. Happy travels!
1. China simplifies visas for EU nationals, Malaysians, Singaporeans, and Thais.
Along with citizens of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia, Irish and Swiss Nationals will now be allowed to enter China without the hassle of a visa for up to 15 days. Bon voyage!
Singapore Passport holders can enjoy a 30-day free visa in China. Starting in March, Thailand and China will permanently waive visa requirements for each other's citizens. For more information, check out Xinhua News. These are the fantastic news for tourism in 2024!

2. How to get a China visa?
If you're heading to Tibet from any city in China, the first thing you'll need is a China Visa! Once you have that, your travel agency can easily apply for your Tibet Travel Permit. There's no such thing as a Tibet visa, as the region is a part of China.

When filling out the China visa application, a section asks for the locations you plan to visit in China, including bigger cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.

Not listing some places you intend to stay in China, like Tibet, on your visa application. You can still travel there and explore other parts of China!

3. Need a China Visa to get a Tibet Travel Permit.
Individuals must first acquire a Chinese Visa to obtain a Tibet Travel Permit.
4. Some Nationals will need proof of hotel bookings.
For some Nationals, if you're applying for a Chinese Visa, you'll need to provide proof of hotel bookings. There's a simple solution! You can book nights at a hotel in Mainland China (avoid hotels in Tibet) through the Chinese travel site C-Trip. You can usually make bookings without paying a deposit or sharing your credit card info.
To complete the application process, most individuals of various nationalities must provide evidence of their arrival and departure flights to Mainland China.
