Mount Everest Advance Camp North Col Trek

Today I would like to share my experience on trekking to Mount Everest North Col and North Face Advance Base Camp.
Mount Everest North Col is where 15M Serek Glaciers and the route of climbers are located.
Mount Everest North Face is where shining Glaciers and the stunning closer view of Mount Everest with stars can be seen in the night.
I have done both treks before with some Travelers and I would like to call these routes one of the special trekking routes in Tibet.
All the Travelers can travel until the sign of Mount Qomolangma Base Camp and that is the actual 1st Base Camp of Mount Everest North Col, and North Face with an altitude of 5200M
From the 1st Base Camp, they are two routes to trek towards Mount Everest North Col, and North Face.
North Col is located on the left side and North Face is located in the center of Mount Everest or also on the right side of North Col.
North Face Advance Base Camp 5800M
I have been to Mount Everest North Face Advance Base Camp with a Traveler as a trekking Guide and also searching for my Sherpa friends who are trekking with two American Snowboard Climbers in the year 2003.
We trek from the Base Camp and the first thing we saw was the dusty Glaciers. After the dusty Glaciers, there was a river without a bridge. At that time river was small so we cross the river but in summer if the river is big, the only way to cross will be trekking 3-4 hours towards the North Col route and cross via the dusty Glaciers.
We arrive at the 3rd Base Camp at North Face and met my Sherpa friends who provided us a tent to rest for the night.
From the 3rd Base Camp Mount Everest North Face, we can see the stunning view of Mount Everest much much closer with a beautiful sunset, sunrise, and stars in the night. We can also see the shining lineup Glaciers which is 1-2 hours away. Altitude is 5800M
I have heard that most of the Russian climbers try to climb through North Face. This trek can be done in around 3-4 days from the 1st Base Camp with Yaks or Porters.
I have found that the North Face trek is much easier as compared to the North Col. This was my experience on the North Face Base Camp. Below I will share my experience at the North Col Base Camp.
North Col Advance Base Camp 6400M
The first time I trekked to Mount Everest North Col Base Camp was with some Polish Travelers in the year 2003. We trek early morning from the 1st Base Camp 5200M towards the 2nd Base Camp and camped half of the route at 5400M, which is right near the river and the dusty Glaciers. We camp there for the night to acclimatize to the altitude and also it was a great spot to see the view of Mount Everest sunset, sunrise, and stars in the night.
On the second day, the trekking trail goes higher towards the North Col Valley. After a few hours walking on the dusty Glaciers, we will reach the 15M Serek Glaciers. This is the 2nd Base Camp of North Col. From here we cannot see the good view of Mount Everest because of the mountains nearby but we can enjoy the beautiful shinning Serek 15M Glaciers. Altitude is 5800M and we camped here for the night.
On the third day, we trek walking on the dusty Glaciers, enjoying the view of shining white Glaciers on the left side and the stunning view of Mount Everest lying down on the right side. This was one of my best moments since from here Mount Everest is huge and more like a beautiful woman in a pose.
While walking on the dusty Glaciers, we have seen the electric wires used in 1924 by the first British Expedition George Mallory, some say he had climbed Mount Everest way before Edmund and Tenzin.
We have seen families of Glaciers coming right from the direction towards the 3rd Advance Base Camp of North Col 6400M, which is one of the last trekking journeys.
On the fourth day, we trek back to the 2nd Base Camp 5800M, once again to enjoy the beautiful shining 15M Serek Glacier. It is also possible to hike nearby to have more stunning photos.
On the fifth day, we trek back to the 1st Base Camp. We celebrate our great trekking journey at the Base Camp Black Yak Hair Tea Tents. This trek can be done in around 6-7 days from the 1st Base Camp with Yaks or Porters.
