1.Gyantse Dzong or Fort
Gyantse Dzong was built around 1390, it is one of the best remaining Dzongs or Fort in Tibet. in the ancient times, there is King in every region at Tibet, they built their Palace or Dzong at the top of the mountain and nowadays we can still witness the beauties of these remaining Palace, Dzong or Fort.
2. Palkor Chode Monastery
Palkor Chode or also known as the Palcho monastery is the main monastery in Gyantse town. The earliest history of Palkor chode monastery is trace back to the ninth century. The main temple of the monastery was built during the time of second Prince of Gyantse named Rabten Kunzang Pak during the 14th Century. Palkor chode monastery is one of the monasteries in Shigatse region which has all the Tibetan Buddhist school teachings and that is the beauty of the Gyantse Palkor chode monastery.
3. Kumbum Stupa
One of the most beautiful highlights in Gyantse is the Kumbum stupa. It was built during the 14th Century by the Prince of Gyantse. Kumbum Stupa has nine floors and one of the most beautiful thing about this stupa is, it has one hundred thousand images of Buddhas. The wall paintings of these stunning Buddhas are so amazing, lovely and makes me feel how deep Buddhism is since they are so many Buddhas names and paintings that I have never seen at any Stupa in Tibet.
