A group tour to Mount Everest base camp is scheduled for June 10th and can accommodate between 4 and 9 people. So far, only one person has confirmed their attendance for the tour. Our first destination will be the marvelous holy city of Lhasa. We will have the chance to see some of the area's most significant Buddhist places, including Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and the awe-inspiring Potala Palace. Following that, we will embark on a picturesque journey to Shigatse, traversing through the awe-inspiring Yamdrok Lake, the remarkable Karo La Glacier, and the remarkable Gyantse Kumbum Stupa. Upon reaching Shigatse, we will make a stop at the exquisite Gawula Pass (5200 meters) before continuing towards the Roof of the World.

Finally, we'll reach the Mount Everest North Face Base Camp, also known as the roof of the world. Here, we'll witness the breathtaking beauty of the sunset, sunrise, and stars at the world's highest peak! The Trip Advisor rating system has awarded us with a 5-star rating. Day1. Lhasa Arrival 

Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be welcomed by your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Tibetan Driver, who will bring you to your hotel. Acclimatization to high altitude: Please drink lots of water and rest to minimize altitude sickness. [3700m]

Potala Palace

Day2. Lhasa Sightseeing 

We began visiting Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet. It was founded in the 7th century by the first great Buddhist king, Songtsen Gampo. Today, we will also visit the stunning Potala Palace. The fifth Dalai Lama built the Potala Winter Palace in the 17th century. It provides fantastic views of the entire city and houses the Dalai Lama's private quarters, numerous grand staterooms, and chapels. In the afternoon, we go to Sera Monastery, one of the three great universities of Gelugpa Sect. We will attend the monks' debating session. [3700m]

Yamdrok Lake full view Tibet Tour

Day3. Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake / Gyantse / Shigatse

The adventure starts: we drive West to reach the second-largest city in Tibet. At first, we cross Kampa-la Pass [4797m] and then Karo-la Pass [5050m], where Mt. Noijin Kangsang [7206m] glacier lies near the road. In the middle, we enjoy the unreal turquoise waters of the holy lake Yamdrok-Tso. Then we stop in Gyantse town, where we visit the considered best Tibetan art paintings in Kumbum Stupa inside Pelkor Chode Monastery. Also, we admire the majestic Gyantse Dzong (fortress) overlooking the valley. Finally, we reached Shigatse before dinner. (350km) [3700m]

Gawula Pass

Day4. Shigatse- New Tingri – Everest Base Camp

It's an exciting day today. The journey to New Tingri involves crossing the high pass of Gyatso La [5220m] and the opportunity to view Mt. Everest and the Himalayas for the first time. We continue driving through the Gawula Pass [5200m]  to see the view of 5 mountains above 8000 meters, including Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho Oyu, Mount Lhotse, and Mount Shishapangma.

From Gawu La, you will then go to Tashizom town, where you will change your vehicle to a nonpollution bus and reach Rongphu, the highest monastery in the world at just under 5000 meters in elevation. The iconic view of Everest from here will be a high point of your journey!  You will then continue to the Tent Hotels, which operate from mid-April through mid-October. The driving distance from Pelber to Mount Everest North Face Base Camp area is 100 kilometers, and it takes around 4 hours. [Total is 460Km, 4400m]

7 Day Mount Everest Base Camp - Daring One Week Tibet Tour

Day5. Everest Base Camp / Shigatse

After breakfast, see the sunrise at Everest Base Camp, then drive to Lhasa through the same route from Gawu la Pass with the last view of the Himalayan range; stop at any point if you find interest. Overnight at Shigatse. [3,840m], 340KM, 6-7hour.

Day6. Shigatse / Lhasa 

After breakfast, you will explore Shigatse and then follow the beautiful Yarlung River back to Lhasa. The distance from Shigatse to Lhasa is 270 kilometers, and the driving time is around 6 hours.(280km, 3700m)

Shigatse Tashilhunpo monastery

Day7. Lhasa Airport or Train Station Dropping Off

After breakfast, we will drive to Lhasa airport or the train station, and then it will be time to say farewell to your guide and driver. Thank you for traveling with Tibet Travelers. Have a safe trip home.
