Singapore to Tibet tour, Mount Everest, and Namtso Lake with four adventurous travelers! Their incredible journey to Tibet begins with a flight from Singapore to Lhasa, Tibet, via Chengdu. They stayed a night at the Chengdu Tianfu Airport Joyhub Cheers hotel, conveniently located inside the airport.
I was pleased to meet the travelers from Singapore to provide them with their Tibet travel permit, which is essential for boarding their flight to Lhasa the following day. I took the opportunity to explain all the intriguing details of the Tibet tour itinerary, and we even took a lovely selfie to commemorate the moment.

1. Singapore to Tibet - Chengdu - Lhasa
On June 10th, the Singapore travelers bound for Tibet flew from Chengdu Tianfu Airport to Lhasa. We recommend that all travelers verify their name, passport number, date of birth, and entry point into Chengdu on their Tibet travel permit and name list before arrival in Chengdu. Errors in letters or numbers may prevent boarding the flight to Lhasa, even with a valid ticket.
Upon their arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport in Tibet, they were greeted by our local Tibetan tour guide, who presented them with a white scarf. The guide then took our Singapore travelers on a scenic drive of approximately 60 km, lasting about 1 hour and 20 minutes, to the center of Lhasa near Barkhor Street, where they stayed at the Shambhala Hotel we had booked, which has oxygen in the rooms.

They spent a few hours resting in the hotel before heading to a nearby Muslim temple in Lhasa city for some warm Halal food to recharge. The first day of the Tibet tour concluded smoothly in Lhasa.
We have arranged a larger room with a double bed for the two travelers traveling from Singapore to Tibet, as well as a single-bed room at the Shambhala Hotel for the couple, which offers a view of the Potala Palace from their accommodations. We are delighted to hear that our travelers from Singapore to Tibet are pleased with it.

2. Tibet Travel Lhasa Tour
On Days 2 and 3 of the Tibet tour from Singapore, travelers will spend two full days in Lhasa, exploring the city's highlights, including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Sera Monastery, Potala Palace, and Norbulingka Palace.

Day 2 started at the 4-star Shambhala Hotel, followed by a walk to Bhakor Street and Jhokang Temple, located about 500 meters from the hotel. They explored Jhokang Temple, which was constructed nearly 1400 years ago.
The Singaporean travelers also enjoyed the Saga Dawa festival along Bhakor Street. After lunch, they visited Sera Monastery and concluded the day at the hotel.

On the morning of Day 3, we received a message on WeChat from our travelers in Singapore about altitude sickness. We recommended and purchased Gao Yuan An medicine for them, and within a few hours, they felt much better. The medicine is priced at about 85 RMB, roughly equivalent to 12 USD, with 20 pills per box. It is recommended to take three pills three times daily after meals.

The Singapore-to-Tibet clients then visited Potala Palace, which involved considerable stair walking, so they brought oxygen along, which helped significantly.

The travelers enjoyed the breathtaking Potala Palace during their tour of Tibet from Singapore.

After lunch at Namaste Restaurant near Bhakor Square in Lhasa, two travelers returned to the hotel to rest, while the other two went with our Tibetan tour guide to the post office and local market.

They concluded their third day in Tibet on a pleasant note in the beautiful city of Lhasa.
3. Tibet Travel Yamdrok Lake
June 13th marks an exciting day for our Singapore travelers embarking on a remarkable Tibet tour from Lhasa, featuring a scenic 2-hour drive to the breathtaking Yamdrok Lake. The journey also includes crossing the Gambala Pass, which stands at an impressive 4,900 meters.

Upon reaching the lake, they captured some stunning Tibet travel photographs that perfectly encapsulate their unforgettable Tibet tour experience.

After soaking in the views at Yamdrok Lake, the travelers on their Tibet tour spend nearly 2 additional hours exploring the area before making their way to Nagartse town for a delightful lunch stop. This segment of the Tibet travel highlights the ongoing adventure in Tibet from Singapore.

As they continue their journey from Nagartse town to the majestic Karo La Glacier, where they pause to take memorable photos of their Tibet tour.

The travelers also capture snapshots along the way, featuring the beautiful natural scenery and their Tibet travel vehicle, a Fort mini bus accommodating 6 passengers.

Subsequently, they journey through Gyantse town, where they enjoy a refreshing Watermelon picnic break amidst their Tibet tour from Singapore.

The route from Gyantse town to Shigatse city covers about 90 kilometers and takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to drive. After arriving at Shigatse city, the travelers conclude their thrilling Day four of the Tibet tour adventure from Singapore, filled with wonderful memories and stunning visuals of this beautiful region.
4. Tibet Travel to Tingri
Today marks the fifth day of the Tibet tour journey for Singaporean travelers as they proceed towards the Mount Everest base camp. They commenced their journey around 9:00 am from the city of Shigatse. En route, they captured photographs of Tibet's natural beauty.

The Singaporean travelers visited the magnificent Sakya Monastery during their tour of Tibet. Sakya Monastery represents one of the primary schools of the Sakyapa sect in Tibetan Buddhism.

Clients from Singapore to Tibet captured many beautiful photos at the Sakya Monastery and enjoyed a lunch break at the monastery restaurant in Sakya town.

After taking several impressive photographs at Sakya, they continued their journey through a different route from Drangso and Tsokha, enjoying the views of dunes and Mount Lhotse from afar before resuming their travel from Singapore to Tibet and ultimately to the Pelber town for the night.

Pelber, also known as New Tingri, is approximately 14 km from the town of Sheger. They stayed at one of the finest accommodations, the Everest Hotel, a two-star establishment that offers oxygen in each room.

The primary reason for selecting Pelber as an overnight stop, despite some travelers' decision to proceed directly to the Mount Everest base camp in a single day, is to acclimate to the altitude gradually by advancing slowly.
5. Tibet Travel 5198 M
Today, after breakfast, the main event of the Tibet tour from Singapore begins as our travelers make their way to Mount Qomolangma, specifically the Everest National Park near the Gawu La Pass, at an altitude of 5198 meters. The drive from Pelber Town to Gawu La Pass takes approximately two hours, involving a winding ascent by vehicle.

Typically, just below the summit, adventurers are rewarded with stunning vistas of the Himalayan range, featuring Mount Qomolangma- referred to as Mount Everest or Chomolungma in the local tongue- standing at 8848.86 meters, the highest peak on the planet.

Starting June 14, the rainy season of 2025 began in Lhasa and many areas in Tibet, including the Everest region, leading to somewhat cloudy weather when travelers arrive at the Gawula Pass on June 15. However, they can still enjoy views of Mount Everest from the base camp on the north face at 5200 meters near the Rongbuk Monastery.

From Gawu La Pass, officially known as Kyu Wu Kya Pass, they arrive in Tashizom Town. Here, they switch from the tourist vehicle to an eco-friendly, non-polluting bus that takes them to the Everest Base Camp, a journey of about 1-2 hours.

6. Tibet Trip Mount Everest
This morning, our Singapore group and Tibetan tour guide planned to meet at 7:00 am to photograph Mount Everest. However, due to the cloud-covered weather, they opted to have breakfast at the Rongbuk Monastery restaurant.

We decided to wait until around noon to ensure we would see Mount Everest's majestic face before returning to Shigatse for the evening.

After two to three hours, just before 10:00 am, Mount Everest began to reveal her breathtaking beauty to our travelers. For local Tibetans, Mount Everest (Qomolangma) is regarded as a goddess, which is why she is revered in the area. We’re thrilled that our travelers, following their hard work and perseverance, finally experienced the magnificent view of Mount Everest.

They stayed overnight at the finest two-star hotel in the area, Sheep, which features a private bathroom with oxygen availability from 8 p.m. to around 8 a.m.

8. Tibet Travel Namtso Lake
This morning, June 18th, the weather was slightly rainy. Our travelers departed from Damxung around 10 am towards Namtso Lake. On their journey, they crossed the high pass of Largen La, which stands at nearly 5000 meters.

From a nearby village, the travelers continued their adventure to Namtso Lake by switching to an eco-friendly vehicle for the remaining 30 kilometers. The total distance from Damxung to Namtso Lake is approximately 67 kilometers, with a driving time of about one hour.

Upon reaching Namtso Lake, the travelers took photos to create wonderful memories of their trip to Tibet. They also visited the cozy Tashidor Monastery, a small monastery at Namtso Lake, which belongs to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is known as a retreat area for many Tibetan yogis, including Rechungma, a disciple of the great 11th-century yogi Milarepa.

After enjoying their time at Namtso Lake, our guests from Singapore traveled back to Damxung for lunch. They then returned to Lhasa, where they spent the night at the 4-star Shambhala Hotel.

10. Tibet Tour Reviews
We are thrilled to have received excellent 5-star reviews on both Google Maps and TripAdvisor from our valued travelers who traveled from Singapore to Tibet from June 10th to June 21st for a trip to Mount Everest Base Camp and Namtso Lake.
Adventure of a lifetime: I found Tibettravelers through IG and fell in love with all the beautiful photos. I contacted Tenzin, and he was quick to respond. He planned a 10-day itinerary to Tibet with 1 day extension for the four of us. As soon as we reached Chengdu, Tenzin greeted us with our permit and explained the trip to us. He answered all our queries and assured us that all would be taken care of.
We were greeted by a friendly and warm guide, Abu. Abu was knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey. He went out of his way to find mountain sickness pills and even brought us to a clinic to check our health when we had mountain sickness in Lhasa. When we were at Mt. Everest Base Camp, he kept us warm and checked the rooms to ensure there was oxygen. We can't thank Abu enough for his dedication and passion in his job. We have learned so much about the history and culture of Tibet. Thank you, Abu. We really appreciate your service.
Awesome Tibet Adventure: We are a group of four friends looking to be enthralled by the cultural and rugged beauty of Tibet, and enthralled we were! The palace and monastery visits were incredibly educational. Yamdrok and Namtso Lakes were gorgeous, and the Everest Base Camp was exceptionally hypnotic.
All these wouldn’t be possible without the expert facilitation by our tour agent, Tenzin, who kept in touch throughout our adventure, and who also assigned a caring, patient, and engaging guide, Abu, and a skillful driver, Kelsang. The latter expertly navigated us safely through winding roads and under varying weather conditions.
We are irrevocably grateful to have Abu as our guide. He helped us ease through our altitude sickness, which was an integral part of the whole trip. We were able to reach higher altitudes and see the beauty of Everest and the gorgeous lakes with his care and encouragement. We definitely cherished the bond we had formed with him as we meandered through our days in Tibet.
It has really been a great adventure for all of us, one that we would look back on with awe and fondness. Tibet Travelers has certainly delivered - trustworthy, reliable, and flexible in its facilitation to suit our needs, for instance, with regard to food.
