The surrounding peaks were covered in heavy snow; capturing photographs of wildlife, specifically the Kyang near Namtso Lake, which was partially iced over due to the cold weather, and witnessing the peach blossoms in Nyingchi. Although the weather was less favorable during our visit, the peach-blossom season made the peach blossoms truly enchanting again.

Nyingchi Tibet Travel 2026 Tour

To warmly welcome travelers from around the globe, China has extended its 30-day visa-free policy for 50 countries (for ordinary passport holders, for tourism, allowing a 30-day visa-free stay until December 31, 2026). Suppose you are among the countries eligible for visa-free travel to China. In that case, applying for your Tibet travel permit is straightforward. You can easily travel to Tibet from cities in China or from Kathmandu, Nepal.

EUROPE (35): France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom.

ASIA (7): Brunei, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain.

OCEANIA (2): Australia, New Zealand.

AMERICAS (6): Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay.

RUSSIA: China extends visa-free travel for Russian citizens. The visa exemption will be valid for one year, until the end of 2026, allowing entry into China for up to 30 days, including travel to Tibet.

Travelers with visa-free entry to China or those holding a Chinese visa can easily travel to Tibet from any Chinese city, such as Chengdu, Beijing, or Shanghai, through our Tibetan travel agency. We require approximately three weeks' notice to prepare the Tibet travel permit.

Our traveler recently undertook an exhilarating solo journey from Nepal to Tibet via a nearly 1-hour, 20-minute flight operated by Himalaya Airlines. As they hail from a country included in the 30-day Chinese visa-free list, the application process for the Tibet travel permit was smooth. We were required only to make a Tibet tour reservation 25 days prior to Tibet travel and submit a scanned copy of our traveler's passport. Subsequently, the Tibet travel permit was readily obtainable from the tourism office in Tibet.

Yak and Snowland Tibet tour and travel

If any travelers are planning to travel to Tibet from Nepal, we offer two advantageous options. You may travel to Tibet by flying from Kathmandu to Lhasa and return by flight to Kathmandu. A one-way flight ticket from Kathmandu to Lhasa, Tibet, costs approximately 300-450 USD. We can assist in purchasing the tickets. This arrangement enables travelers to select any Tibet tour on our website that concludes in Lhasa.

The alternative way to travel to Tibet was to fly from Kathmandu to Nepal, then take an 8-day Tibet to Nepal tour, or a 10-day tour of Tibet that ends in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We're absolutely thrilled to share that our traveler had an amazing, nearly two-week adventure in Tibet! They kindly rated us 5 stars and left us heartfelt reviews on Google Maps. We're so grateful for their kind words and support!

Tenzin, Gelek, Tashi: three names and, above all, three amazing people who made my 12 days in Tibet simply memorable.
Tenzin, the manager of Tibet Travelers, patiently and kindly put together a great itinerary that accommodated all of my requests (and I had a lot!).

The team was impeccable; he was always looking after us, constantly checking that everything was going according to plan and ensuring I was satisfied with the accommodations. The hotels were generally really nice, starting with the Shambhala Hotel in the heart of Lhasa—a traditional Tibetan hotel with stylish rooms and a standout rooftop terrace offering a stunning view of the city and Potala Palace. I also have to mention the room in the guesthouse at Everest Base Camp with a direct view of the peak. Unforgettable.

Gelek, our guide, was perfect. Beyond his deep knowledge of Tibetan culture and religion, he was always relaxed, calm, and patient. He was always there to help with kindness and was absolutely respectful of my space, letting me enjoy every minute of the tour at my own pace. Not to mention, we had many interesting conversations together.

Tashi, our driver, was the one who safely took us to every place on the itinerary, even when the weather was difficult. He is a very nice, easygoing, and friendly guy who was always happy to find a spot to stop so I could enjoy the amazing landscapes. Traveling with Gelek and Tashi truly felt like a road trip with friends.

I can't express how grateful I am to these guys. We reached glaciers and mountain passes up to 5,411 meters, watched the sun rise over Mount Everest, and were left breathless by Namtso Lake. We enjoyed the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake and the vibrant peach blossoms at Lake Basumtso. Then there was Lhasa, with the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, Barkhor Street, and the pilgrims performing kora and prostrations. These were unforgettable moments and emotions.
Finally, I absolutely recommend Tibet Travelers to anyone planning a trip to Tibet.

In conclusion to this Tibet travel experience, the itinerary is notably distinctive as it encompasses the scenic natural landscapes of East Nyingchi, South Mount Everest, and North Namtso Lake. The Tibet journey also features many monasteries and highlights the peach blossom season in March.

We are delighted that our esteemed traveler chose us and enjoyed the tour of Tibet. We warmly welcome all travelers to experience the beauty of Tibet through our local Tibetan travel services. We are committed to arranging a memorable adventure in Tibet for you and your family. Travelers can contact us via  InstagramFacebook, or WhatsApp at +86 199 3816 8184.
