1. Not an agency, a family in Tibet!
Mr. V's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Not an agency, a family in Tibet!
Tibet has been a life-changing journey, and it would have been impossible without the constant support of Tenzin, the manager, and above all, the impressive work of Gelek, our guide! We were a little bit concerned about the whole process but Tenzin was always there to support and provide an answer to all our questions in a timely and super efficient manner.
Also, he took our desires and wishes seriously, as we did not want the typical tour but more than a personalized one with a focus on nature, hikes, and deep Tibetan culture! And Tenzin did magic and prepared a fantastic journey!

The highlight of our trip was Gelek, our tour guide. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also always took care of us. He has a really outstanding personality and always makes the best of every part of the journey!
We visited Shigatse, Ganden, Yerpa Meditation Caves, Tidrum nunnery (what an experience), Namtso Lake, a couple of glaciers, and Lhasa, of course! I would say it was simply breathtaking! And I would choose these people again and again and again! Totally recommended!

2. Let Tibet Travelers Show You Beautiful Tibet
Mrs. S's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Let Tibet Travelers Show You Beautiful Tibet
We searched carefully and are very glad we chose Tibet Travelers for our recent trip to Lhasa. The Lonely Planet Tibet book recommended them, so we emailed them a few questions about arranging a private tour. It was important to us to work with a local Tibetan company, and our guide and driver were Tibetan (they were terrific).
Tenzin, the principal proprietor, was very responsive and reliable throughout the entire process, both before, during, and after our wonderful tour. He urged us to keep in touch and ask any questions at all during the tour. He made all of the arrangements for our permits, answering all of our questions along the way. He met us at the airport and provided transportation both to and from the airport. I would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation to Tibet Travelers for anyone considering a trip to Tibet or beyond.
Tenzin arranged for our tour guide, Kelsang, who was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend requesting to see if she is available, though the other guides Tenzin uses are probably also great. She met us (very promptly) each morning. She provided a wealth of information, answering our many questions and enriching our experience for each of the places we visited as well as for Tibet overall.
One advantage of having Kelsang as a guide is that she speaks the Tibetan language and interacts with many of the local people during the tour, including the monks, vendors, shopkeepers, and other local Tibetans along the way. She is both very knowledgeable and a sincere practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, and she was very generous with sharing about her life and experiences there.
The cars were perfect - clean, well-running, and comfortable. The one we took for our trip to Yamdrok Lake was a Toyota Expedition type of SUV, and the driver was exceptional (we spent many hours in the car that particular day) on the winding roads.

Photo: Tibet Travel. Mrs. S with her husband and tour driver at picnic time at Yamdrok Lake.
The driver even carried a folding table and chairs in the back of the vehicle, which we used for an impromptu picnic at the edge of the beautiful lake. Kelsang was very skilled at navigating some of the more crowded locations where a lot of tourists go, steering us to more serene paths with fewer people while still experiencing the most amazing places that Lhasa offers.
So overall, it was a peaceful yet busy and fulfilling 5 days (the first and last were mainly for transportation). Kelsang also brought us to some delicious local Tibetan restaurants, and she recommended another restaurant that we went to on our own one evening that had a beautiful rooftop terrace.
There was a perfect mixture of togetherness and separate time where we were free to explore on our own. I am glad we chose a hotel close to the Muslim Quarter and Barkhor Street (St. Regis Hotel) so that we could spend our evenings independently walking around the area.

3. Wonderful 10 days experience around Tibet
Mr. H and Mrs. S's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor. Wonderful 10 days experience around Tibet
We enjoyed an incredible 10-day trip around Tibet with Tibet Travelers and undoubtedly recommend this travel agency to anyone interested in spending some time there.
In terms of planning and operative matters they work wonderfully fine and efficiently. We got in touch with them as soon as we got the chinese Visa, sharing with them the plan we wanted to do. They booked all the accommodations and transfers very quickly and managed to get permission to enter Tibet, as well as the train tickets from Xining.
In this respect, we were pleased with their work, as every hotel was terrific and really comfortable, working as the ideal base point to rest and move around Tibet. The communication with them was friendly and also very efficient, perfectly fluent. They answer all your questions and doubts almost immediately, which builds an open and trustworthy relationship from the beginning.
Once in Tibet, they picked us up from the railway station and took care of everything. Our guide for the ten day trip, Gelek, was always ready to help us with anything we needed and also very efficient and friendly. Everyone involved in our trip, as the two drivers who took us around Lhasa for the first days and then up to the Everest base camp through Tibet, were very professional. Everything worked put ideally, just on time and as it needed to be. We were delighted with them.
Furthermore, our greatest satisfaction was being able to contact and learn a little bit about Tibetan culture. Our guide, Gelek, made a great effort to show us every temple we were interested in, as well as other aspects of their daily routine and culture, which is so appealing.

To sum up, going to Tibet was an excellent and outstanding experience we always dreamt of, and of course it did not disappoint us, it is simply one of the best travels one can do. In order to do so, and from our own experience, Tibet Travelers is the best agency to accomplish it; we would certainly repeat it.
Our only regret is just not having spent more days there with them. Because of our tight schedule around China, we were able to enjoy ten days in Tibet. Still, we do believe it is worth at least two whole weeks just to be able to get really deep inside and enjoy your time there quietly, finding moments of real connection with the Tibetan atmosphere.

4. Wonderful Trip
Mr. G's Family Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Wonderful Trip
The 10 days we spent in Tibet organized by Tibet Travelers couldn’t have been better. Everything was well organized and it’s was all very pleasant and enjoying.
A huge mention and thank you to the manager of Tibet Travelers: Tenzin, who has been in reach the entire trip and has been friendly with our whole family and certainly has made the kids have a wonderful time with him.
And another huge mention to the travel guide Tenzin Gelek too, he has been with us on the entire trip and has helped us with all the trouble and is skilled in every matter that you ask. He helped us learn about all the sites and history of this entire trip and has made it a lot easier and more exciting.
We first chose Tibet travelers because of its reviews, and it was no regret at all. So if you plan on traveling with this agency, do not hesitate because you’ll will not regret it.

5. Tibet is the Closest to Heaven I Can Ever Get!
Mrs. M's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Tibet is the Closest to Heaven I Can Ever Get!
Traveling with a 73-year-old very nervous mother, my daughter had to research numerous websites to ease my worries on this trip to Tibet. When we finally decided on Tibet Travellers, no myriad of questions was too much or too trivial for its owner, Tenzin Dhondup. He was as efficient and swift to respond as he was patient, kind, and helpful.
He very quickly put our minds at ease. He met us at the start of the journey to ensure that we understood all our options as well as at the end to confirm that we were indeed happy and satisfied with our trip.
He also assigned to us the two best guides (Grace) and driver (another Tenzin) in town and kept in constant communication with them to make sure that everything was continually in good order. Grace is Tibetan but is also highly proficient in English and Mandarin. She is super alert, fast to react, and a great problem solver. She is so competent and well-organized that we left everything in her capable hands and relaxed and enjoyed ourselves throughout the incredibly scenic and beautiful journey.
Through Grace’s connections, we were able to visit some Tibetans in their humble houses and learned a little of their ways of life which was exactly what we were looking forward to doing. We walked the kora with them and even hiked up to the nunnery in the Lhasa Mountains. Grace constantly minded me as if I were her mother, and her genuine compassion for mankind moved me.
My daughter and I were indeed in the best care of the best guide we have ever met in our many travels across the world. Tenzin, the driver, seems to have been the center of praise in every group he has driven, and we gladly add our commendation to the fact that he is indeed the safest and most skilled driver one can ever find in Tibet. He is by nature a shy person, but he is always extremely kind and helpful and never fails to be there when you need him. If and when he opens up, he can also be a lot of fun.

My daughter and I were truly blessed with fantastic weather, the best guide, the best driver, and the best travel agent in our ten-day private tour of Tibet. The two white scarves of blessing and the two beautifully hand-painted Tibetan art drawings will be constant reminders of our most memorable trip to the roof of the world!

6. Awesome Adventure with Great Facilitation
Mrs. Z and Mr. W's from Singapore to Tibet Travel Review on Trip Advisor: Awesome Adventure with Great Facilitation.
This was our first time traveling to Tibet, and we did not know what to expect. However, with the efficient facilitation from Tenzhin beforehand, the process was made smooth even before the adventure began.
We would also like to specially thank our guides, Dolmas, for the Lhasa and outskirt parts of the trip. They are very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Tibet.During our trip, we severely underestimated how altitude sickness could affect us, but our guides were always there with us to take care of us and cater to our needs.
We especially have to thank them and Tenzin for adjusting the itinerary, as we were unwell during the second part of the trip. The changes were made swiftly, and amendments/facilitation for hotel bookings were immediate. It was a relief and comfort for us.

Photo: Tibet Travel Singapore clients Mrs. Z and Mr. W are pictured with Tibet Travel Manager Tenzin Dhondup of Tibet Travelers at Lhasa airport.
As much as Tibet is filled with beautiful landscapes and rich in culture and history, it is the people who truly touched our hearts. Thank you, Dolmas and Kelsang (our driver), for opening your hearts to us and home and sharing your stories and personal experiences.
It truly made this experience one of a kind. We will bring back home your dreams and aspirations for the future. Thank you for blessing us throughout the trip. For whoever is planning a trip to Tibet, pls do consider this agency. You will not be disappointed.

7. 10 Days Tibet Everest Base Camp and Namtso Small Group Tour
Mrs. V's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Outstanding 10 Days Tibet Everest Base Camp and Namtso Small Group Tour
We had a fantastic 10-day tour with Tibet Travelers that was a highlight of our 1 month of traveling in China. We chose Tibet Travelers based on three factors:
1) it is a local Tibetan company;
2) Lonely Planet recommended it; and
3) it had only positive online reviews.
The tour exceeded our expectations. From the moment of the welcome at the airport until our departure, the level of service was outstanding. All our needs were attended to with the highest level of care.
Our guide, Tenzin Gelek, was very knowledgeable and kind and spoke excellent English. Gelek shared with us the Tibetan history, culture, and language and was also able to find the best local places for lunches and dinners, allowing us to meet local people and have a genuinely Tibetan experience.
Our driver, also Tibetan, knew the best spots to stop the car to have a fantastic view of the landscape and to avoid the usual touristy spots filled with crowds. He proved to be a true professional when driving through snowy and narrow mountain roads, making us feel safe.

Photo: Tibet Travel Mrs. V with her husband at Mount Everest base camp
The owner of the company, MC Tenzin, made us feel welcomed by meeting us on the first and the last days over a meal, making sure that we had a positive experience. As it was just us two people on the tour, Tibet Travelers even slightly adjusted our itinerary to match our interests better.
Gelek learned that we like walking and enjoy the beauty of remote places so the company included some additional landscape stops and a small hike in our itinerary. We want to come back to Tibet one day, and we will definitely use Tibet Travelers again.

8. Tibet in Winter, Tenzin's Services
Mr. A's Tibet Travel Review on Trip Advisor: Tibet in Winter, Tenzin's Services
Tenzin was professional in handling my last-minute knock on his door. He answered my endless questions with precision, speed, and truthfulness, so I committed to his private tour immediately.
I was about to take refuge in Tibetan Buddhism. He took me to sacred places in all four major lineages, and I could feel the blessing in my crown chakra during those visits. When the environment was not up to my standards, he would go all his way to find the hotel people to fix it, and he made himself available even late at night.
He can be a good friend without losing the professionalism of the service. This is not an ordinary trip for me. It was challenging because of the weather, geographical conditions, and food, but Tenzin and the Driver both made it pleasant.
One more thing, Tenzin doesn\\\'t waste time beating around the bush. His communication is quite Americanized in that regard and it fits my education history perfectly. I am glad that we still keep in touch, and he would do prayers for my well-being. I don\\\'t know what more one can ask for from a guide like this. Thank you, Tenzin

9. A private tour with Tibet Travellers the best experience!
Mr. J's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: A private tour with Tibet Travellers and Gelek was the best experience!
My girlfriend and I did a private tour with Tibet Travellers for 10 days in Lhasa, a tour to Everest Base Camp, seeing some fantastic landscapes, returning to Lhasa, and finishing with a day at Ganden Monastery.
We found the agency through Lonely Planet. Throughout the planning, we had excellent contact with Tenzin Dondhup; he even gave us a very warm welcome in Lhasa. We went by train from Xining, and the organization of the tickets worked out just fine!
Everything was very well organized, the hotels were comfortable and very well located, and our driver, Nurgial, took us securely from one place to another.
Of course, our guide, Gelek, was the best. He has a ton of experience. We learned so much about Tibet, its culture, and religion and were very well cared for, always with a friendly smile.
Our tour with the agency was a great experience, and we highly recommend it!!

10. 30 Malaysian Tibet Travel Reviews
Mr. T's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Amazing 10 Days Lhasa, Everest Base Camp and Namtso Lake
We want to extend a heartfelt and massive shout-out to our fantastic group leader, Mr. Tony, who played an essential role in our incredible travel experience.
Thanks to his thoughtful decision to choose Tibet Travelers for our next adventure, we have gained the fantastic opportunity to embark on an unforgettable ten-day Tibet travel adventure that will take us through the breathtaking landscapes of Mount Everest and the serene beauty of Namtso Lake.
This journey promises to be an extraordinary exploration of some of the most stunning natural wonders on the planet, and we are eagerly looking forward to every moment of it!

Photo: 30 Malaysian travelers from Tibet travel to the Potala Palace.
Local Tibetan Guide for the Tibet Travel Group: Our adventure started on the right foot as our friendly guide, Damdul, and two drivers greeted us with open arms at the train station in Lhasa (which was conveniently only 8 km away from the city center). We are so grateful for Tony and his efforts in making this unforgettable trip possible!
Vehicle for the Tibet Travel Group: We arranged a spacious Yutong bus for about 26 travelers and a smaller minibus driven by Paljor, who is fluent in Tibetan, English, and Chinese, to accommodate the four extra travelers in that vehicle.
Accommodations for the Tibet Travel Group: Tibet Travelers made arrangements for accommodations during the trip, including a 4-star Tashinota hotel in Lhasa with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms. In Shigatse, Tibet Travelers arranged for a 4-star Gesar hotel with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms. In Pelber, Tibet Travelers arranged a 2-star Roof of the World hotel with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms.
Additionally, Tibet Travelers took into account the food preferences of Malaysian travelers by arranging for Tibetan, Chinese, and Western restaurants that offered mutton as an alternative to beef.

Photo: Large group of Tibet Travelers' photo memories at Lhasa airport.
Tibet Travel Packages for the Tibet Travel Group: Our 10-day Mount Everest & Namtso Lake tour had two main highlights—the breathtaking view of Mount Everest from Rongbuk monastery and the vast Namtso Lake, one of Tibet's largest salt lakes. Once we reached the base camp (5200m), we were fortunate to experience clear and sunny weather, allowing us to appreciate the magnificence of Mount Everest at 8848m fully. This tour is highly recommended for those who love mountains and lakes.
Feedback from the Tibet Travel Group: Tibet Travelers received a suggestion from some travelers to extend the tour from 10 to 11 days. The reason behind this suggestion was that during the journey from Shigatse to Namtso Lake, which covers a distance of 450 kilometers, the travelers felt exhausted due to road construction.
11. 9 European Tibet Travel Reviews
Mrs. M's Tibet Travel Review on TripAdvisor: Tibet tour Lhasa Mt Kailash and Guge kingdom
Through our Tibet travels, we had the remarkable opportunity to connect with a beautiful woman named Mrs. M, who was residing and working in China last year. Alongside her colleagues, she formulated an exciting plan to embark on a journey to Tibet in May 2023. They love to travel to Mount Kailash in western Ngari.
Tibet is known for its mesmerizing landscapes and spiritual significance. It is home to Gang Rinpoche, also known as Mount Kailash, which is often referred to as the center of the world and is considered one of the most stunning Tibet travel destinations in the region.
In the lead-up to the Tibet trip, we engaged in numerous email exchanges filled with anticipation and details, which laid the groundwork for our upcoming adventure. Eventually, after a series of lively discussions and chats via the popular WeChat App — a preferred social media platform in China for connecting with travel enthusiasts and family members back home — our Tibet travel itinerary was confirmed.
We are all eagerly looking forward to this incredible Tibet travel journey and the unforgettable experiences that await us in the majestic landscapes of Tibet.

Tibet Travelers expresses gratitude towards the travelers for their valuable suggestions, which will help them improve their services on a regular basis. We celebrate the tour's success at the hotel with a tea gathering.
Tibet Travel Journey Begins: Tibet Travelers was able to secure last-minute train tickets for five of the nine travelers in our group who planned to depart from Xining. The remaining four travelers opted for a flight, which Tibet Travelers also booked. In early 2023, our travel agency was one of the first to receive the Tibet travel permit for Mount Kailash.

Photo: Group photo near the Manasarovar Lake for a day hike to Ngatso Lake.
Our travelers were pleased with the promptness of our services, which included securing train and flight tickets and the necessary travel permits for Tibet. On the afternoon of the 28th, we convened at Kyichu Garden Restaurant Hotel, our preferred lodging near the old town, to discuss the tour itinerary and the weather conditions in the Ngari Mount Kailash region.
Our expedition to Ngari in western Tibet set off on April 29th, 2023, with Gelek, our expert Tour Guide from the region, leading the way.
Tibet Travel Mount Kailash in May 2023: Mount Kailash Kora usually doesn't have any issues in May, but this year, heavy snowfall caused the local authorities to delay its opening until May 4th. While waiting, our travelers spent their time in Darchen. They participated in day hikes from Lake Manasarovar to Nagtso Lake, as well as visiting the Gangdrak Monastery Serlong in the inner Kora area.
Despite the heavy snow that hindered our completion of the kora, our travelers appreciated the tour's adaptability. To make up for it, we spent a few extra nights near Mount Kailash and explored the Guge Kingdom, a favored spot for some of our travelers.
Our Tibet travel journey concluded with a two-hour flight from Ngari Ali Shiquanhe city in western Tibet to Lhasa. We then spent two more nights in Lhasa to see the Potala Palace.
Back to Lhasa after the Tibet Travel at Mount Kailash: From the rooftop of the Lhasa City View Restaurant, we had the pleasure of sharing thoughtful gifts from Tibet with our travelers. Their delighted reactions truly warmed our hearts!

Tibetan Dze beads as a token of appreciation after the tour for Thanksgiving.
Keeping in touch even after the Tibet Travel Journey: We occasionally communicate via WeChat. To wrap it up, I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful Mareike and the compassionate European tourists for their admiration of Tibet's splendor and for selecting Tibet Travelers.
12. 8 Expats Tibet Travel Reviews
Mr. J's Review on TripAdvisor: 13 days in Tibet
We connected with Sir John, who has a wonderful dream of traveling to Tibet for a nature trek with fellow friends and co-workers in China! Choosing a Tibet travel adventure with the trekking tour is a fantastic option for those who spend much of their time in offices or at home, as it genuinely enhances both physical and mental well-being.
Eight expats shared their wish to escape the bustling city life of Shanghai, one of China’s largest cities, to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.
1. Tibet Trekking was the Answer: Due to their weekday office confinement, they strongly desired an adventurous tour that would involve trekking and extensive walking. As a result, we ultimately settled on the 11-day Tibet trek tour, which would take them from Ganden to Samye Monastery.

A group picture was taken at the end of a trek in Tibet at Yamdrok Lake.
2. Travel started during the October holiday: At the start of the October holiday, a group of travelers boarded a train from Xining to Lhasa for their tour. The partner in Xining took care of securing train tickets amidst the crowds of holiday-goers.
3. Train ticket from Xining to Lhasa: It took about 23 hours to travel by train from Xining to Lhasa. A person in the group chose to take a flight from Shanghai instead. At first, we bought the least expensive ticket, but because of landing issues in Xi'an, we switched it to a non-stop flight to Lhasa for the same day.
4. Lhasa sightseeing tours: The tour commenced in Lhasa, and the first two days were spent exploring local streets and monasteries. On the third day, the official trek began from Ganden with eight travelers, eight yaks, two yak men, and one cook. The initial day of the trek posed some difficulties, as a few travelers encountered mild headaches, and the terrain proved to be slightly challenging.
5. The 11-day trek from Ganden to Samye monastery: Two mountain passes at approximately 5,000 meters in elevation were necessary to complete the 11-day Tibet trekking journey from Ganden to Samye. This proved challenging, but most travelers had become accustomed to the altitude by the next day.
6. Two-day tour to Yamdrok Lake and Karo La Glaciers: After finishing the trekking tour, the travelers decided to prolong their journey by two days to visit Yamdrok Lake and Karo la Glacier, resulting in a total trip duration of 13 days. Sir John, our group leader, has produced a fascinating video that you should watch.
6. Celebrate with drinks at the local Bar: At a nearby bar, we enjoyed cocktails and conversation to commemorate our success. The allure of Tibet lies not only in its breathtaking scenery but also in the uplifting spirit of the local Tibetans.

Farewell dinner at the restaurants of the House of Shambhala. The travelers highly appreciated our Local tour guide, tour driver, and cook for their company. Additionally, we are pleased to have been able to offer employment to locals with the assistance of the travelers.
Conclusion
