Travel Tibet Testimonials from Travelers

Travel Tibet Testimonials from Travelers

Over the last few years, we at Tibet Travelers Local Travel Agency have had the pleasure of organizing tours to Tibet for countless travelers.

Today, we would love to share some of the fantastic feedback we have received from our incredible groups of travelers who have journeyed with us to this magical destination.

1. A Large group of 30 Malaysian travelers to Tibet.

We want to give a massive shoutout to our fantastic group leader, Tony, for reaching out to Tibet Travelers via social media! After chatting with Tony on Facebook, we were able to confirm an incredible ten-day tour of Mount Everest and Namtso Lake.

Our adventure started on the right foot as our friendly guide, Damdul, and two drivers greeted us with open arms at the train station in Lhasa (which was conveniently only 8 km away from the city center). We are so grateful for Tony and his efforts in making this unforgettable trip possible!

Vehicle for the Tibet Travel Group

We secured a large Yutong bus to accommodate approximately 26 travelers, as well as a smaller minibus with a driver named Paljor who speaks Tibetan, English, and Chinese for the convenience of the four additional travelers traveling in the minibus.

Accommodations for the Tibet Travel Group

Tibet Travelers made arrangements for accommodations during the trip, including a 4-star Tashinota hotel in Lhasa with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms. In Shigatse, Tibet Travelers arranged for a 4-star Gesar hotel with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms. In Pelber, Tibet Travelers arranged a 2-star Roof of the World hotel with 15 rooms, consisting of nine single rooms and six double rooms.

For the Everest portion of the trip, Tibet Travelers made arrangements for a dormitory consisting of 4 Yak hair tea tents. Tibet Travelers also secured a Guesthouse with 15 rooms in Namtso Lake for the travelers. Additionally, Tibet Travelers took into account the food preferences of Malaysian travelers by arranging for Tibetan, Chinese, and Western restaurants that offered mutton as an alternative to beef.

Tibet Travel Mount Everest & Namtso Lake

Our 10-day Mount Everest & Namtso Lake tour had two main highlights - the breathtaking view of Mount Everest from Rongbuk monastery and the vast Namtso Lake, one of Tibet's largest salt lakes. Once we reached the base camp (5200m), we were fortunate to experience clear and sunny weather, allowing us to appreciate the magnificence of Mount Everest at 8848m fully. This tour is highly recommended for those who have a love for mountains and lakes.

Suggestions from Travelers

Tibet Travelers received a suggestion from some travelers to extend the tour from 10 to 11 days. The reason behind this suggestion was that during the journey from Shigatse to Namtso Lake, which covers a distance of 450 kilometers, the travelers felt quite exhausted due to road construction.

Tibet Travelers expresses gratitude towards the travelers for their valuable suggestions, which will help them improve their services on a regular basis. We celebrate the tour's success at the hotel with a tea gathering.

out to us about the Tibet tour. We had so much fun chatting back and forth on WeChat, and we're thrilled to announce that the tour has been officially confirmed! We can't wait to depart from Beijing and embark on this exciting adventure to Tibet.

Tibet Travel Journey Begins

Tibet Travelers was able to secure last-minute train tickets for five of the nine travelers in our group who planned to depart from Xining. The remaining four travelers opted for a flight, which was also booked by Tibet Travelers. In early 2023, our travel agency was one of the first to receive the Tibet travel permit for Mount Kailash.

Our travelers were pleased with the promptness of our services, which included securing train and flight tickets, as well as the necessary travel permits for Tibet. On the afternoon of the 28th, we convened at Kyichu Garden Restaurant Hotel, our preferred lodging near the old town, to discuss the tour itinerary and the weather conditions in the Ngari Mount Kailash region.

Our expedition to Ngari in western Tibet set off on April 29th, 2023 with Gelek, our expert Tour Guide from the region, leading the way.

Mount Kailash travel during early May 2023

Mount Kailash Kora usually doesn't have any issues in May, but this year, heavy snowfall caused the local authorities to delay its opening until May 4th. While waiting, our travelers spent their time in Darchen. They participated in day hikes from Lake Manasarovar to Nagtso Lake, as well as visiting the Gangdrak Monastery Serlong in the inner Kora area. Despite the heavy snow hindering our completion of the kora, our travelers were pleased with the tour's adaptability. To make up for it, we spent a few extra nights near Mount Kailash and explored the Guge Kingdom, a favored spot for some of our travelers.

Our journey concluded with a two-hour flight from Ngari Ali Shiquanhe city in western Tibet to Lhasa, followed by two more nights in Lhasa to see the Potala Palace.

Back to Lhasa after the western Tibet travel

At Lhasa City View Restaurant's rooftop, we gave our travelers some Tibet gifts as a way of showing our appreciation, which they were very pleased to receive.

Keeping in Touch.

We occasionally communicate via WeChat. To wrap it up, I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful Mareike and the compassionate German tourists for their admiration of Tibet's splendor and for selecting Tibet Travelers.

3. A group of eight Expats Travelers Trekking journey in Tibet.

Opting for a trekking tour is an excellent choice for travelers who spend most of their time in offices or at home, as it promotes physical and mental well-being. 8 Expats Travelers expressed a desire to escape the busy city life of Shanghai, one of the largest cities in China, and spend some time immersed in nature.

1. Tibet Trekking was the Answer.

Due to their weekday office confinement, they had a strong desire for an adventurous tour that would involve trekking and extensive walking. As a result, we ultimately settled on the 11-day Tibet trek tour, which would take them from Ganden to Samye Monastery.

2. Travel started during the October holiday.

At the start of the October holiday, a group of travelers boarded a train from Xining to Lhasa for their tour. The partner in Xining took care of securing train tickets amidst the crowds of holiday-goers.

3. Train ticket from Xining to Lhasa.

It took about 23 hours to travel by train from Xining to Lhasa. A person in the group chose to take a flight from Shanghai instead. At first, we bought the least expensive ticket, but because of landing issues in Xi'an, we switched it to a non-stop flight to Lhasa for the same day.

4. Lhasa sightseeing tours.

The tour commenced in Lhasa, and the first two days were spent exploring local streets and monasteries. On the third day, the official trek began from Ganden with eight travelers, eight yaks, two yak men, and one cook. The initial day of the trek posed some difficulties, as a few travelers encountered mild headaches, and the terrain proved to be slightly challenging.

 5. The 11-day trek from Ganden to Samye monastery.

To complete the journey from Ganden to Samye, it was necessary to climb two mountain passes at approximately 5,000 meters in elevation. This proved to be a challenging task, but the majority of those traveling had become accustomed to the altitude by the next day.

6. Two-day tour to Yamdrok Lake and Karo La Glaciers.

The travelers decided to prolong their journey by two days to visit Yamdrok Lake and Karo la Glacier after finishing the trekking tour, resulting in a total trip duration of 13 days. Sir John, our group leader, has produced a fascinating video that you should watch.

6. Celebrate with drinks at the local Bar.

At a nearby bar, we enjoyed cocktails and conversation to commemorate our success. The allure of Tibet lies not only in its breathtaking scenery but also in the uplifting spirit of the local Tibetans.

Thank you for choosing Tibet Travelers
