Winter Lhasa Weather Update
One of the main reason we recommend Travelers to travel Tibet during winter from October end to beginning of February is the weather.
Today Tibet Travelers would like to update the winter weather in Lhasa and Mount Everest North Face Base Camp.
In Lhasa, we have clear blue sky starting from November begin until today. Weather is warm and not windy, which is a great weather to travel in Tibet. Today it is -2 ~14 Degree
They were more local Tibetans in Lhasa and only a few western Travelers.
A few days ago when we visit Norbulingka Palace, we only saw few Chinese Travelers and no any western Travelers so traveling in winter is a good option to be with local Tibetans.
Our Traveler Devarni and Tour Guide were at Mount Everest North Face Base Camp Yesterday on December 14th and he said the weather is clear blue sky but little cold because of the wind. They only saw two western Travelers group and few Chinese Travelers.
Yesterday evening they arrived at Kyirong Tibet side border at Nepal safely. Today our Traveler Devarni is traveling to Kathmandu overland with Tibet Travelers arrangement with Nepal friend Travel agency.
Traveling to Tibet during winter is a great decision if Travelers prefer more local Tibetans and less tourist.
Tibet Travelers would like to welcome all the Travelers to travel Tibet during winter. Even though the weather is clear blue sky but still wind is quite strong especially outside of Lhasa, so Tibet Travelers would like to recommend all the Travelers to bring a sleeping bag, warm down or thick jackets.
