The youngest travelers, ages 5 and 10, are on a Tibet tour from June 1st to June 9th, which brings Mrs. A and Mr. M’s family from Malaysia to Tibet, including a visit to the base camp of Mount Everest's North Face and Namtso Lake on a 10-day Tibet Tour adventure.

A 5-year-old boy's Tibet tour from Malaysia, at sea level, to the "Roof of the World," the Mount Everest North Face base camp, located at 5,200 meters, on June 5.
Recently, we were excited to share another inspiring story about the youngest traveler to Tibet: a 4-year-old boy who reached the Mount Everest base camp with his family in October. These adorable boys are a perfect example of adventure and determination that truly showcase Tibet tours!

If you’re feeling both curious and a bit anxious about the risk of altitude sickness while planning a trip to Tibet, this article aims to motivate you.

Tibet Travel : 5-Year-Old Boy's Tibet Tour to Mount Everest Base Camp
Our Tibet travel journey began when Miss A from Malaysia contacted us about her plans to visit Tibet, drawn by its stunning natural beauty and the crisp, cool air of the high mountains. In response, we were delighted to share our popular 10-day Tibet tour itinerary, which features excursions to the Mount Everest Base Camp and Namtso Lake.

2. Malaysia to Tibet from Chengdu
Miss A and Mr. M are a wonderful Islamic family from Malaysia, with two delightful young boys: one is 10 years old, and the other is just 5. This time, we will create wonderful memories with history by taking her family, especially the adorable two young boys, to the base camp of Mount Everest. Let’s explore further in detail.
Our travelers fly directly from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Chengdu Tianfu Airport, with a flight duration of 4 hours and 40 minutes, arriving around noon. They spend the afternoon discovering the city of Chengdu.
I have the pleasure of meeting our fantastic travelers at their hotel near Chengdu Tianfu Airport, specifically at the 天府空港悦享酒店 (Joyhub Cheer Hotel), conveniently situated right at the airport. I took a nearly 1-hour-and-30-minute metro ride from central Chengdu to Tianfu airport, changing trains on lines 1 and 18, which connect to the airport.

When we took a photo at the airport hotel, the young star was sleeping. It was a pleasure meeting the wonderful family. They were so friendly that it felt like I was the guest. By looking at this photo, you can see that the real rapper was the 10-year-old brother, whose style was more like a rapper than MC Tenzin's. So cool!
We arranged flight tickets for our travelers, departing from Chengdu to Lhasa on June 1st at approximately 7:00 a.m. and arriving around 9:20 a.m. The following morning, they set off to the airport around 5:00 a.m., where they checked in at the China Air counter using their passports and Tibet travel permits to obtain boarding passes. After managing their 20 kg luggage transfer, they proceeded to the waiting area for their flight.
3. Tibet Tour Day 1
On the morning of June 1st, our Tibetan tour guide and driver welcomed our travelers at Lhasa Gonggar Airport. We captured a welcome photo of the family from Singapore.

We were relieved to see that they acclimated well to the altitude in Tibet, as we were somewhat worried about the high elevation for young children, but they seemed perfectly fine. We then took them to the 4-star Shambhala Hotel in the old town of Lhasa, where we had arranged a VIP business room for the family.

After a few hours of rest at the hotel, our Tibetan tour guide returned in the evening to serve a warm halal dinner and ensure they had a restful night in the oxygen room.
4. Tibet Tour Potala Palace
Today, our esteemed travelers will visit the Potala Palace, a 7th-century marvel that epitomizes the beauty of Lhasa. We have secured tickets for the Palace for this morning at approximately 10 am, thus commencing our Tibet tour from the Shambhala Hotel lobby at 9:00 AM.

Our travelers captured splendid photographs at the remarkable 7th-century site, Potala Palace. After they explored the Palace, travelers spent the afternoon at Lhukang Park. Subsequently, they proceed to the Wanda Supermarket for lunch and entertainment for the children.

We shall conclude the day with a stroll around the market in the historic old town of Lhasa.
5. Tibet Tour Yamdrok Lake
Today marks the beginning of our exciting Tibet travel adventure as our travelers journey to the breathtaking Yamdrok Lake, situated approximately 90 kilometers from Lhasa. The drive takes nearly 2 hours, offering stunning views along the way!

With the lake sitting at around 4400 meters in altitude and the Gambala pass reaching nearly 4900 meters, it's a truly remarkable experience. They even captured some wonderful moments riding a friendly Yak at Yamdrok Lake!

Our young star Traveler was very healthy with no altitude problems and was having a wonderful time at the lake! Our Tibetan tour guide took great care of him, and it looks like they became good friends. You can check out this photo – he is so cute!

After spending some delightful time at the lake, they traveled to the breathtaking Karo La Glacier, a must-see stop on any Tibet tour. Next, they headed to Gyantse and picked up some tasty snacks for the boys.

Their exciting journey continued as they made their way to Shigatse city, where they enjoyed a cozy night at the deluxe room in the 4-star Gesar Hotel.

6. Tibet Tour to New Tingri
Today, the Tibet tour begins in Shigatse at around 10 am, as they set off for New Tingri's Pelber town. Along the route, they stop at Tso La Pass, which is approximately 5000 meters high, before heading to Lhatse town for lunch.
From Lhatse, they tackle another high point of the Tibetan adventure: the Gyatso La Pass, which reaches an elevation of about 5,200 meters. If the weather permits, visitors can catch their first glimpse of Mount Everest from this pass.

Upon reaching the Gyatso La pass, the family encountered snowfall. The landscape was completely white, welcoming them as they journeyed toward the base camp area of Mount Everest during their Tibet travel adventure.

A young star, just 5 years old, exploring Tibet with his wonderful mother during a trip to the Mount Everest base camp.

While traveling to Pelber town, they took a lovely break for a picnic in a charming grassy spot by the river, surrounded by a beautiful mountain, on their way from Shigatse to Tingri.

After spending some time enjoying the views, they continue their journey to Pelber town, making a brief stop at Lolo Hot Spring Pool. Due to the high altitude, they won't be taking showers there; instead, they ensure warm feet in the hot springs before heading to Pelber.
7. Tibet Tour Mount Everest Arrival
Today is a highlight for our travelers on their Tibet tour adventure as they cross the breathtaking high pass of Gawula, soaring to an elevation of 5198 meters.
From this stunning vantage point, they can enjoy incredible views of five magnificent snow-capped mountains, each towering above 8000 meters. These majestic Himalayan peaks are truly the wonders of nature.

The top five tallest mountains on Earth are found in Tingri County, Shigatse City, in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The scenic beauty of these snow-covered giants, all rising majestically over 8000 meters, can be admired from the Gawula Pass. The official designation of Gawula Pass in China is "Kyu Wu Kha Pass, 5198 Meters". It is referred to as 加乌拉山口 in Chinese.

Among them are Mount Shishapangma (8027 meters, 26289 ft), Mount Everest (8848.86 meters, 29031 ft), Mount Makalu (8463 meters, 27825 ft), Mount Lhotse (8516 meters, 27940 ft), and Mount Cho Oyu (8188 meters, 26906 ft).

After enjoying a delightful time near the summit of Gawula Pass and taking in the stunning scenery through photographs, they continued to Tibet Travelers Manager Tenzin’s hometown, Tashizom.

From there, they boarded the Eco bus for a journey of about an hour and a half to the base camp at the north face of Mount Everest.

At the Everest base camp, they spent a night at the top-notch Rongbuk Monastery Hotel, which provided oxygen in the rooms from 8 pm to 8 am.

8. Tibet Tour Mount Everest Morning
Our travelers experienced wonderful weather at the Mount Everest base camp in the morning, as Mrs. Aslinda from Malaysia mentions in her Instagram post: "Even the fiercest hearts fall silent before the undeniable beauty of Mount Everest.”

After a lengthy stay at the Mount Everest base camp, our travelers return to Shigatse city for the night, passing through the Gawula Pass once more and bidding farewell to the majestic Himalayan mountains.

Our young traveler appeared somewhat sleepy and remained in the cart for the morning Tibet journey. However, after some time, he regained his energy and began to enjoy himself.

It is inspiring to observe a young boy, aged five, who experiences no altitude issues at one of the world's highest locations, the Mount Qomolangma Everest Base Camp. May his photographs inspire more travelers to visit Tibet and appreciate the splendor of the highest snow-capped mountains.

Certain travelers may encounter Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) when traversing the high altitudes of Tibet, particularly at elevations around 5200 meters or during their arrival in Lhasa. It is advisable to utilize altitude medications such as Gaoyuan An.

Although oxygen tanks are available in the vehicle, we also recommend purchasing portable oxygen supplies available in Lhasa for travelers experiencing difficulties with elevated altitudes.
9. Tibet Tour ShugLa 5411M
Following breakfast in Shigatse today, our travelers proceeded to the highest elevation on the Tibet tour itinerary, Shug La Pass, which stands at 5411 meters.

From this vantage point, the stunning vistas of the snow-capped mountains include the remarkable Mount Jomo Ganggar, towering at an altitude of 7048 meters and venerated by the local populace as a goddess.

Additionally, we enjoyed a pleasant picnic interlude today, allowing us to appreciate the natural splendor of northern Tibet in anticipation of our journey to Namtso Lake tomorrow.

For their accommodation, they will be staying at the town's premier establishment, the Holy Sheep Hotel.
10. Tibet Tour Namtso Lake
Today marks another significant day of the Tibet tour, as our travelers will visit the magnificent Namtso Lake, at an altitude of 4700 meters.

Namtso Lake is renowned as one of the most beautiful lakes in Tibet travel adventures.

We are thrilled to see the photos of our travelers enjoying the snow at Largen La Pass, which is nearly 5,200 meters high. Malaysia and Singapore are warm locations, so we are thrilled that our travelers enjoy the cold and breathtaking beauty of the white snow in the Tibet tour.

Everything was covered in white, and our driver and young star played together while the whole family enjoyed the snowy scenery.

Our Guide embraced the young star, forming a loving bond. This was one of Mrs. A's favorite photos from Malaysia. She expresses that words cannot capture her happiness; this photo conveys everything. Thank you, Mrs. A.

As Mrs. A mentions, when Mom and Dad are tired, two uncles will step in to help. This shows our commitment to being fully at the service of our travelers. As a manager, I want to commend and reward our Tour Guide and Tour Driver for the exceptional care they provided to our travelers during their Tibet tour adventure.

Snow-capped mountains and verdant grasslands encircle Namtso Lake. Our travelers have participated in horse and yak rides around Namtso Lake.

Following a morning and afternoon spent at the lake, they will proceed to Lhasa, where they will spend the night at the 4-star Shambhala Hotel, located in the heart of Lhasa city.

During this trip to Tibet, they invested considerable time, resources, and effort, and we would like to express our gratitude for choosing to travel to Tibet with us. May the splendid experiences of the Tibet tour enrich their lives with good health, prosperity, and happiness. We look forward to welcoming you all back to Tibet shortly.
We extend our congratulations to them for accomplishing the significant milestone of reaching Tibet and, in particular, the Mount Everest Base Camp, situated at an elevation of 5200 meters, alongside their young star, a five-year-old child.
11. Tibet Trip Google Reviews
We are pleased to have received a 5-star excellent review of our Tibet travel services from our esteemed travelers on Google Maps.
Thank you, Tibettravelers, my trusted agent for our 9-day trip to Tibet. Tenzin did a very good job arranging our flight from Chengdu to Lhasa, arranging our 5-star accommodation, which is beyond our expectations.
Everything was as per the itinerary, and we got more than we paid. Our tour guide, Mr Gelek, is very helpful throughout the trip. He helped us arrange all the luggage from the car to the hotel room. helping us bring all the stuff we need from one place to another, and also helping us take care of our children.
The most important thing is Mr Gelek helps us to understand what AMS is and how to deal with it. We managed to resolve AMS without an oxygen tank from day 1 to day 9, and we are in Tibet. Halal food is easy to find with the help of our tour guide and driver.
The highlight, of course, was our one-night stay at Everest base camp. The room is superb. Direct view of Mt Everest. Once again, thank you, Tibettravelers, Tenzin, Gelek, and Mr Driver.
Conclusion
We hope that their travel adventure in Tibet inspires all travelers who are considering a journey to this magnificent destination. We enthusiastically encourage everyone to visit Tibet and experience its beauty with us.
